AMA journal article rules

  1. Surname plus initials with no full stops; list all authors up to six, otherwise the first three plus “et al”.
  2. Article title in sentence case, no quotation marks.
  3. Journal abbreviation (NLM form) in italics.
  4. Year;volume(issue):pages. then doi:10.xxxx with no final full stop.
